just the exotic chardonnay you might be looking for. likely fermented on the skins or at least some skin contact. grip, body, unconventional, l-m acid, medium bodied, medium tannin for a chard. fun.

Golden yellow in glass. Nose of light toast, yeast, some honeysuckle and rose. Medium bodied, not overly oak-y or sweet. Some toast, very slight gravel, medium-long finish.

Started in 1969 apperently. Maybe a touch reductive which seems odd because it has been open all day. Planted 80 but got Phylx. '87. '91 was the replant. 13 clones on the site, 50 different chards blended down to this. Palate is fresh and fruity. Regularly $25 and I guess I can see it at that. Has butter but not a huge butter ball.

Very unusual. Big oak but almost smokey oak. Nice acidity & fruit but a very unique finish with the oak.

Canned tuna initially on the nose turning to over ripe fruit. Lemon and vanilla flavors, quite acidic and lacks complexity. Just adequate.
