Don't drink many Cali chards but this one is not bad and has gotten better with age - lemon has died down and more toasty notes have emerged. Not bad but not great - alcohol is a bit pronounced and acidity is a bit low - but this is Cali...

Very tasty immediately on opening. Nose somewhat subdued, but flavours of apple, melon, lemon, and a touch of oak spiciness. The nose is developing first some oakiness (but not too much) and looks like it will open up nicely. This looks like it will go well both in and with the chicken piccata being made.
A few minutes later, and a couple degrees warmer, the oak is showing itself a bit more. Still great acid balance. Good example of an oaked chardonnay that wasn't over the top, even though I'd probably still prefer less new oak.

Nice and smooth. Well rounded without being too oaky or thin. Excellent and approachable for all.

still lively and bright...with a mild oak undernote. QUite enjoyable when well chilled. Juicy pears...a hint of citrus.
