So expressive, with lots of anise, animale, foresty bits, sap, mashed up old little berries and so on. But the animale turned pretty bretty and overtook the wine after 40 minutes. Prior to that, showing well, still juicy fruit, lots going on, but seemed tart, tangy and simple after the Clos de Tart. Still, would not refuse this on its own. EWG 10 (or rather 20) years on dinner.

Very alive and precise. Sound, round, somewhat dense fruit, but has the prominent acidity and high tones of a Beaune red. In great shape, drinking well.
