Unfort this bottle bought in bond from professional storage is too old. From L&W I could find 1996, 2001 and 2002 of this. 1996 was dead, this 2002 is old and about to die. The best and the surprise was the 2001 which is instead full of life with still perfect acidity. Was hoping this was still good but the drinking window is gone for this

Good color, looking younger. But a little flat and lacking tension. Believe this is past the best years. Interesting still that it comes together ok, particularly mid palette has still good energy.

2002 Burgundy @ Noizé: Brighter full straw. Nicely mature but vital. Initially seems a little reduced, but there’s something disjointed here. With air it takes on a sickly sweet poxy aroma without really showing it on the palate. Becomes spiky though. No, this bottle is on its way out. A little cooler and it would have been fine for the first twenty minutes. **1/2

Wraysbury Dinner (R/Y/B/A) (Home): Double decanted three hours. Full old gold. Clean nose, no ox. Quite minerally and clean lines here. As with previous bottle, the mineral end of Chassagne. This one has a slightly chemically twang though, something green and herbal with a bit of lift. Gives it a bit of an edge. Not entirely convinced by this bottle. ***1/2
