  Floral nose with some anise, palate smooth and medium long with dark berry, sour cherry, with some mocha. Very enjoyable with or without food.

  Double decanted about an hour before serving. Rush of casis, dark plums, cedar and a hint of volatility on the nose. Initial flavors not as full as expected, mostly plum, moderate tanins, acidity and reasonable length. With alcohol at 13.5% I would not expect it to be noticeable, but there is slight alcohol in the nose and finish. Unless it improves throughout the evening, not a wine I am likely to buy or stock.
