Mini Verticals - Tasted Blind: Bottle #2 of 3. Cork sealed. Ash, rhubarb, a little more muddled than bottle 1. Palate is more rounded out and a bit more advanced, without having more complexity. In decent condition but for me not better than bottle 1.

Mini Verticals - Tasted Blind: Bottle #1 of #3 served blind. Screwcap. Fresh nose - graphite, violet, spice and earth. Palate retains that brightness and the fruit has good texture. Young but not brand new, it has development and I liked this a fair bit more than either cork sealed bottle.

A baby hunter shiraz. Rich nose of blackberries, a little plum, creamy milk chocolate and hints of spice. Medium bodied - blackfruits, no sweetness, full mid palate and fine-grained tannins; lingering finish. Fruits flavours intensify with time in the glass. Plenty of acidity suggesting a long life. Score is conservative - would expect it to improve considerably. I'll wait at least a few years for the next bottle.

A nice bold Shiraz. We enjoyed this with a duck dinner and it was delicious. This wine brought us right back to our time in Australia when we purchased it.
