  • WOW. Not expecting this. Intense raspberries on the nose carried over onto the palate along with an earthy savory unami forest floor. Incredibly long finish. Balanced. OUTSTANDING. Sadly my last bottle of this vintage.

  • I've had a lot of trouble with this wine over the years, liking but not really liking most of my earlier bottles. Thin, tight and bordering on sour is how I remember this wine but today's bottle was floral, rounded, and delightful. Sure sure, its definitely lean and focused, but at 12 years on perhaps its finally starting to come around? Much improved over my last bottle several years ago.

  • Much improved from a bottle tasted in 2012. Clearly this wine needs time.

Bright cherries on the nose with volatile acids dancing across your palate. Expansive across the cherry berry spectrum of flavors but balanced and gaining in weight and depth with more exposure to air. Nice clean finish, somewhat linear but very pleasant. This could have been scored a 90 but let's see how the next bottle develops in a year or so.....

  • This delicious wine has moved up a notch. Bright and light along with a juiciness and heft that a good nebbiolo can have. Nose is fruity with persimmon and lemon.

  • pop n pour. lovely cranberry red color. clear translucent. bouquet is barnyard and Pampers - unfortunately used ones. The taste was the same as the nose. (Underneath I do get vibrant red tart plums and cherries along with mushrooms) I drank a glass over 30 minutes, it didn't dissipate. I have vacuum sealed and will try tomorrow to see if the unpleasant odors and taste blew off. 2 days later... well the odor blew off as well as unpleasant taste and now it is a lovely vibrant wine with bracing acidity and high pitched red fruits. some notes of medicinal cherry, but very minor. This wine needs a good decant. I also think it could last for another 5 to 10 years.
