Perfectly in its drinking window, served with French onion soup—a perfect pairing for an unusually cold evening (19F in Atlanta). I believe this was opened and slow oxed several hours before drinking, although I was told by our host that it was wide open even then. A bit of funk on the nose, ripe cherry fruit and savory herbs, olives and earthy palate. So smooth and balanced and easy to drink. I don’t buy much CdP but this I would purchase if I stumbled across it.
Opulent, expressive, fleshy and lively with layered complexity. Rich in blackberries, star anise, leather and spices. Youthful and giving at nearly 15 years. Another excellent showing.

Smells great. Olive, herb, saddle and earth, cherry. Soft and silky, with similar flavors. I thought this was a little round, fleshy and too easy going at first, but the acidity started to come into better balance as the wine opened and warmed. Overall, this is pretty good, and I there is no need to rush to open my last bottle.
Consistent with our last tasting note - but just a little bit more of everything, the best showing yet. Still kicking myself for not waiting until now to start opening bottles...

PNP then followed for 2 hours. Same score I gave it 6 years ago! It's evolved into a more savory wine, classic and old school. Cherry liqueur, garrigue, leather, earth and kelp notes. Supe smooth but the structure is there. This could be a 20 year wine!
