Millesime Bio Fair - Day 1 (Montpellier, France): Soft cherries, slight smoke and roses on the nose. Smooth palate with tart strawberries and red currants. Nice concentration and acid, pure and attractive with notes of berry compote, earth and white pepper. Sexy stuff.

After tasting the '09 Mellot earlier, this was striking in its downplayed fruitiness, fragrance and delicacy. Subtle, well balanced and all Pinot in its character. Lovely wine and a real winner in the realm of red Sancerre.
