  What a thrilling wine! Filled with intense, precise, crystalline, ripe apricot fruit, the acidity of 1996 is still here to give vibrancy, but it is not overly acidic and well-balanced by the sugar which gives the wine an off-dry taste and great tension. You could easily pair it with food, but why -- this is such a beauty that it should be appreciated on its own. Another this-is-why-we-cellar-wine moment. Cellared since original release. APN 02 97.
