Note: I use a scale on which 85 represents a very good wine.
Just shy of the magical 90, but still excellent. It's been 11 years since the last one (yikes), and it seems as if time has stood still. Still excellent balance of sweet and acid (with the obvious greater sweetness because it's a Riesling).
A Rheingau Kabinett -- who knew?

Drank over a few days -- corked bottle in fridge. Good at the outset, even better after some time. Excellent sweetness balanced with good acidity. Lot so flavors -- a little "petrol" in the background (as much as I dislike this specific term, it seems to fit). I am looking forward to the others.

See TNs for other bottles. We have been going through the Rieslings.

Rick Cook: Rich, sweeter, simple peachy notes even after the schafer spat; nice ripeness, but less depth-minerals. Obviously sweet.
