Buttery/sweet tasting wine. Drank it after a Sauvignon Blanc and it was a nice contrast. My wife thought it was a Chardonnay. This was a very nice wine.

Upon opening I was hit with scents of lemon peal and apricot. When first smelling this wine, I was excited about the potential. The first couple sips revealed citrus flavors, lemon with a touch of orange, guava and honey. The wine had a viscous and oily mouthfeel, fat middle palate and some decent acidity on the finish. However, within a matter of minutes the 16% alcohol in this wine began to rear its head. The finish became very astringent and combined with the acidity to dominate the palate. With some air, the alcohol heat dissipated a bit and some of the above mentioned flavors returned, but it was still difficult getting past the alcohol. With less alcohol content, this would be a very nice wine. I have half the bottle left and will try again tonight.

With fish tacos...at first a bit astringent, heavy about an 88 at the start....I think, at cellar temp, this was too cold....but as it warmed, the rich flavors began to show, nice stone fruit....moving up to 89...will recheck today.....
