Drank with homemade Vietnamese beef stew, redolent of star anise, 5-spice, and lemongrass. A perfect marriage for the richness and spiciness of this bottle. Interestingly, was a bit less compelling as we finished the bottle without food.

Solid wine for drinking now. I really like the style of Schloss Gobelsburg, and this reisling has a little bit of Gruner character to it in my opinion. B+

Yello Gold. Expressive nose of apples, bananas, lemon oil, stones. Full and ripe in the mouth with flavors of toasted nuts and dried fruits with a lingering touch of bitterness. Followed over 4 days, the wines held up nicely.
