Objectively this is pretty good but it's just not my taste: kind of sweaty, tropical on the nose. There's purity, breadth and persistence but when I open dry Riesling I want electricity and freshness above all else.

Tasted blind. Citrus, tropical fruits, lychee, mango and minerality. A little spicy, oily texture. Long peppery finish. Most guests thought it was Alsatian pinot gris. We were all surprised it was an Austrian Riesling. Elegant, complex and well made.

This is a special one. List the aromas and flavours and it will sound like other top end Austrian or German riesling. But this one's got the x factor. I love it. More please.

I've not enjoyed a riesling more than this bottle. A perfect foil to tandoori monkfish, with minerality plus green and yellow fruit in spades. Very long. Delicious now and with a long future.
