Exploring Goodfellow and Kelley Fox PN (Canoe, Atlanta, GA): Tangy red cherry and a touch of evergreen, lovely concentration and length with impeccable balance, not quite as complex as the 2009 PG Mysterious but with more crystalline elegance.

grilled lamb chops and good wines on a Sunday afternoon (Stockholm): I must submit a disturbing bias that clearly may have affected my judgement on this one. Jon and I helped Kelley sort the grapes for this wine. It was a great pleasure to drink this with Jon and other close friends. And time has been a benevolent influence on this wine, which I feared was going to be hot and without structure from a very warm vintage in Oregon (the 2009 K Fox Mirabai was more towards that end when I tried it a few years back, so I was really rather worried upon opening this wine). It was everything but. The pinosity on this wine was just through the roof. And the few extra years in my wine fridge had done much to calm down the wine and integrate all elements. Vibrant, berry driven, complex, light on the touch and still not without structure and surely able to go another ten years and only get better. Maresh fruit is the best, and Kelley is a very very talented wine maker. Go Oregon! This was one of the best wine experiences of my life.
Pale garnet with red cherry, raspberry, pomegranate, baking spice, and damp leaves on the nose. The palate is lovely with ripe red pinot fruits, hints of oak, and lovely acidity that drives things. Very pleasant pinot that is drinking well right now.

Nose of cherry, some spice. Very light color. Seemed like low alcohol content, but wasn't listed on the bottle.
