Kelley opened this after several younger Pinot Noirs, and it commanded attention! It put my mind to two of the finer Pinot Noirs I have tasted: the 2002 Domaine Robert Groffier Chambertin-Clos de Bèze (in 2013) and the 1990 Domaine Rossignol Trapet Chapelle-Chambertin (in 2014 and 2015). Every element improved by the second day, and alongside three other astounding Kelley Fox wines, this made the strongest impression. I do not know if some, many, or all of Kelley Fox's wines evolve this way, but I intend to find out. This world class Pinot Noir represents insane QPR! 97-98.

Courtesy of Ruth. Brief note during dinner with friends. Cherry and red berry fruit with a lovely earthy/funky undertone. Cherry, florals and fresh tea qualities on the palate. What I recall most about this wine is the wonderful texture- it's both weighty yet elegant on the palate, hitting all the right spots in just the right way. It has good underlying acidity and a lingering finish. So very well balanced.
