Great example of high quality Chilean Cab/Carmenere with that distinctive flavor profile that I really enjoy. Full bodied, dark color, great nose, and long finish. Plenty of life left.

Chile New Year's 2012; 12/29/2011-1/2/2012 (Santiago): Really gorgeous on the nose with coconut, spices, mild oak, vanilla, ripe strawberries...very complex on the nose. On the palate, this is full bodied, balanced with gentle and refined tannins. The texture adds a very pleasant liquorness to it. This is however too young and will certainly improve with further cellaring. Excellent!

PnP at Portillo. Tannins have softened but fruit is still quite primary. Definitely has the stuff to age.
