Superb. Probably the best barbaresco I ever tasted and I tasted a few. Awesome flowery scent. Perfect balance of tannins and body in the mouth. Incredible persistentcy. An unforgettable experience in a glass.

A wonderful Barbaresco with age. Feels like the 2008 vintage is in its right drinking window, developed fruit, but perfect to drink now. Soft tannins, tar, roses, red fruit. Had it to Chanterelle pasta with truffles and cream. Drink now.

Pleasant medium body wine. Still quite tannic although not much fruit left although the body was still supple. 08 was not a great year so did not reach great heights. Drink now.

Bought at Ceretto outside of Alba and drank 1 day later. Would have guessed several years older and from a weaker vintage. Musty nose with a flat body dominated by bitter/sour red fruit and metallics. Don't think time will help but food might.

Nebbiolo Prima #66, at this tasting event in Alba, there are 3 bottles of each wine - in case one (or more, gasp!) doesn't show well. Hmm, then I think that I will need to re-taste this in the future, because bottle #1 and #2 (#3 hadn't been opened yet) were the same. Really pretty floral and red fruit aromatics are fouled by a bit of a metallic finish. Notwithstanding that, I felt there wasn't enough fruit. If I had to score this, I'd have given it a 84, but I don't, so I'll pass on final judgment and try and re-taste again in the coming year. Too bad, because the nose really was rather appealing.
