Pop and pour, your going to need a beer opener for this one. Initially slightly effervescent, stingy on the tongue. I had to swish the bottle around a bit and let the foam disappear. The nose has toffee, bright tartness, strawberries, wet concrete. Very Spicy.
Palate is high toned strawberry tart, medium bodied. Decent finish.
Other than the slight CO 2 that dissipates with vigorous swirling, really enjoyable. I want a still wine to be a still wine. Good

PNP. Color slightly purplish garnet. Seemed a bit sharp so passed thru vinturi. Nose spicy cherry and dense minerals. Swishing shows dense acid mineral backbone laced with cherries. Sipping shows tart cherry and shortish tart finish. Good value

Less tasty than previous bottles, seemed to have a lingering sweetness that bugged both drinkers.

Makes really good gluhwein. We used cinnamon sticks, whole cloves, all whole all spice. With orange wedges.

Picked up some of this on the west coast and the bottles are quite different. Riper and fuller, more fruit driven with less complexity and interest.
