  • Deep dark red, pure.
Mellow ripe dark berries, soft licorice, hints of iron filings and tar.
Silky smooth, broad and open, finishing with slight astringency. Clean fruit driven flavours, plums and black cherry, aniseed and tar, just a little earthiness. Delicious, nicely aged.

  • Wow. Back of the net! He shoots... HE SCOOOOORES! Our best bottle of this vintage. Absolutely fricking stunning. Harmonious, silky, perfumed bliss. Our previous bottle of the '99 was rubbish. This one was heaven. Able to go on for another 2-4 years at least.

  • Drunk over two nights in Sydney. Maybe it was a little warm, maybe it was bottle variation, because this one just didn't hit the spot. Unlike some of our previous bottles which have been stupendous, this one was very awkward with tannin, OH and acid all over the shop. Luckily we know better.

  • Ooops. I drank it all. Cracked this one for my wife to "help" her celebrate her 40th... and I think I drank most of it. Aged with translucency to the core, a nose which was at first quite rich and intense with Viognier's apricot aromas, soon soothed itself back into the fold to produce the most wonderfully delicate and ethereal nose. And on the palate? Well it only just started to show its true colours after 60-90 mins in the decanter. Silky, harmonious, textural, rich, light, up, down, on, off... this had it all. A beautiful lingering wine which could probably go for a few more years yet. Bravo Tim and Co.

  • Showing some age on the rim with garnet extending towards the centre. Nose of violets, spice and rich red/black fruits. The palate is refined with silky tannins and goof fruit/acid to carry through to a long, etheral finish. A suductive, subtle powerhouse. Excellent but drink up now.
