Surprisingly developed with a nice combination of black cherry and orange/citrus flavours and earthy, herbal and leathery accents around it - medium weight, elegant and drinking very nicely with the structure mostly resolved.

Tasted October 21, 2006 at a blind tasting. Opened and served immediately in a Spiegelau Authentis Balloon Magnum glass. Light dusty rose color in the glass, dusty looking hue. Earthy nose with a touch of brett and underlying minerals. Straightforward flavors of red berries. Medium acidity, light tannins, light to medium body. Drink now. Definitely Burgundy.

Still pretty youthful and vibrant but I wouldn't hold for too much longer, drink now or in the next few.

Lighter bodied, smooth and plush crushed berry fruit(plum/cherry/blackberry/strawberry), dusty earth, wet tobacco leaves, little cinnamon clove, floral dried roses, old leather, nice fresh orange citrus acidity. Smooth and easy drinkin Burg......tasty and true to its terroir.
