Impressive wine, this is beautifully balanced, tangy and rich - despite it being a touch over the hill (might have been the fact that it was *mailed* to the US from Europe...). The essence of Beaune is here, and it showed yet again that the current Bouchard Pere administration could do so much more with this vineyard than they are doing right now, because the quality is there in the dirt.
