  • Mid to full gold. Lovely nose, fresh as a daisy with lovely saline and iodine notes. Excellent weight and texture, properly GC, a saline bite and density to the front and mid-palate before lightening a little to a reasonably long finish with authentic zip. Mature and vital. ****

  • Full straw yellow. Some mineral bite on the nose, iodine and a touch of oyster shell. Good weight, proper GC texture in the mouth with density on the attack through to mid-palate. Minerality, proper Chablis, maybe just a touch of zip lacking on the finish which lacks a tiny bit of persistence to be truly top flight. Very good though, showing well but probably not much upside here. Bare ****

  • R&Y & B&A @ Medlar (The Medlar, London): Slightly darker straw yellow than the 06 Rav But alongside. More Chablis-like nose, showing restraint but a touch of iodine and chalkiness. Starting to show signs of maturity, this is nicely structured with a straw-scented moderately minerally mid-palate. Nice shape and control and certainly as minerally as the Raveneau, but this is more restrained and classic though it could do with more bite and persistence. Lovely though. ****
