Very Pommard. Earthy, dark fruits, dry flowers and mineral. Similar palate, firm and strict, love the structure. Maybe could have been a touch riper, but I really enjoyed it nevertheless.

3/5, excellent cork. Pale/medium garnet core, wide pale garnet/mahogany rim. Gently aromatic, spicy nose, quite autumnal, game, soil. Medium bodied, spicy, gamey red fruit, resolved tannins, autumnal notes, fresh vibrant acidity carrying a very good length, harmonious, spicy finish. Delicious, drinking beautifully. Now and for next 5-7 years.

Brickish to garnet red in color with a clear meniscal disc. The aroma knocks it out of the park. There was dark cherry that was steeped in cinnamon, orange peel, and savory spice. In the mouth, acidity dominates and becomes a little muddled. The finish is tight at first, and tightened with each drink.
I picked this this up because a documentary called Mondovino. Montille's wines are known for longevity and this one should be no exception. RIP Monsieur Montille.

Pale/medium garnet, mahogany tints. Nose shows raspberry fruit, baking spice, touch of chalky mineral. Medium bodied, raspberries, touch of plum, firm but fine tannins, spice, touch of liquorice, carries nicely across the mid-palate and into a very good length still slightly firm finish. Lovely.

Mature black fruit with modest spice, earthy character. Moderate finesse and density. Drinking nicely and elegantly but nothing really stood out.
