Started as as charming, earthy, all red, and balanced, this seemed at its peak. This blossomed with air, expanded, and increased in complexity and nuance. More minerality and spice were clear by the end, the earth had faded, and more robust structural support was coming through, too.

PNP at 114 Faubourg Paris The nose is full of Chambolle floral fragrance. As the wine developed in the glass the tannins mellowed somewhat revealing a beautiful elegant albeit young Chambolle full of red fruit. Drinkable now , better probably in five years

Color showed bricking had begun. After 60+ minutes of air, the nose was an explosive 96-97 points: very sweet and nearly candied strawberries and red cherries, rose petals, minerals, sweet Oak that had an element of elegance seldom matched, and it hung with you all night. If the palate matched with the same intensity and length of finish, the bottle would have been miles out of the budget. On the palate you got some of all of the nose, but it was a comparatively thin after mid palate. Very smooth and elegant. Without the nose, a 92.

Delicious now. Gorgeous smell of the vineyard, elegant strawberry and soft spice notes. This beauty is on its way up and can’t wait to taste another in 3,5 or ten years!! Love it.
