ChTR kokous 08.02.2012 (SKO-toimisto): Decanted for 30 mins. A very pale orangeish red. The nose was quite pungent with physallis and a bit of tar, a bit off putting for me. The palate had a bit of a candy like aspect to it, almost a banana taste, but still with lots of acidity, maybe even a bit of rhubarb. A very lightweight wine, not bad, but not quite to my taste.

Some stewed red berry fruit on the nose: raspberry, lingonberry - as well as clove, orange peel, Campari and some sweetish oak. Rather lightbodied with refreshing structure, mid-intense red berry fruit and herbs. The oak feels rather harsh and off-putting initially (much better on day2). Quite brief oaky finish. Disjointed and mediocre. Not worth the euros.

Light red color. Bright red fruit, some stony earth, nice crisp acidity. There is not an excess of oak in this bottle; it might be there, but it is used carefully to add structure and is integrated well (and I am very oak-sensitive). The fruit is by no means overdone, confected, or sweet. It tastes like a typical, good-quality Sancerre rouge.
