A bit of brick color but still surprisingly deep purple core. Nicely tertiary, with tomato paste and mushroom, but the fruit is still there too - plum and raspberry. S: “like a tasty, juicy fruit pie.” Basically like the younger wines but with an added dimension of savory complexity and softer tannins. Elegant, balanced, and interesting. Probably won’t get better (per our host at the winery) but great now.

Drinking exceptionally well at this age. The core of red fruit still remains, and structure as well, but the secondary and tertiary notes of leather, tobacco, graphite and earth are all in harmony now, and offer a wonderful tasting experience.

Showing well at 22 years in bottle. Not sure it can go for decades more but is in its drinking window and should be for a long while. Showed some light bricking. Some tertiary earthiness showing through the still prominent dark fruit. Tannins have smoothed out well.

Tasted at the winery. 25 years young and you'd call it 10 if that. Pure red fruit with some density and sappy character. Loamy earth underneath.
Really nice and very elegant. A testament to Cathy's winemaking style. Will go another 10-15y no problem.

Slightest fading at the edges. Lavender potpourri, cranberry, espresso grounds. Velvety
