I was surprised that no evidence of premox whatsoever. Light straw color. Some lemon and Mineral notes. Good acidity. Not a lot of complexity but nice fresh finish. Excellent for a village wine.

3rd bottle out of 4. It’s funny how different each bottle showed. The first was too advanced. The second too young. This one was just right. The aged honey and white mushroom notes are balanced by the acidity. However the palate is a bit more generous and expansive than the last 2 bottles. Too bad they can’t all be like this. Excellent.

Second bottle was as it should be. Wonderful aged notes but with plenty of acid to support it. Served it’s role nicely as an opening salvo to tonight’s dinner.

Another bt fro same case. Pnp, med golden, nose of ripe apple, tangerine and also a distinct sauternes nose (honey?). Good tension between acidity and minerality. Nose is better than palate. Fair for a village level but pale when compared to its 07 incarnation.

(Domaine Leflaive Puligny-Montrachet) Light lemon yellow color; creamy, white flower, very poised and appealing nose; delicious, silky textured, white flower, tart lemon, citrus, mineral, almond palate; long finish (in blindtasting of four '04 white Burgs, including three Dom. Leflaives, this one ranked 1st for the group, 1st for me, and garnered a total of 41 votes; clearly a very underrated wine that has fully blossomed)

Drinking side by sde with Sauzet's Montrachet. This is smoky, oak and acid driven. Lemon tart. Short finsihed.
