THAT Super Village (Yan): 07s whites are drinking amazingly now. This came from magnum and had escaped the premox curse.
Meyer lemons, butter, honeysuckle (the good kind) and cream on the bouquet. Palate showed quite similarly to the bouquet with good crisp acidity and precision. Would probably score much higher if there was a bit more complexity but frankly, what more can you ask for from a village plot.

Although I wish I had gotten to this bottle a few years ago, it was still very enjoyable and right at the end of it's peak drinking window.
Medium golden in color with a nose of citrus, nutmeg and ever so light buttterscotch. It started out a bit ripe and rich but actually got more precise and focused with some air showing some essential oils and lemon rind as it opened up
Drink up

Tasted next to Gantenbein Chardonnay 2007, this seems a little more advanced. Notes of nuts, citrus, smoke, minerality, a touch of oxidation sneaking in. It's medium+ bodied, with medium acidity and good length. A very interesting aged Puligny from this excellent producer.
