Tremendous wine. Excellent example of Tempranillo. Fisrst rich fruit and deep flavor. Smooth. Great right out of the bottle with an aeration. Even better day 2. 2011 compares very favorably and is readily available. Buy and store those a couple of years and you'll be rewarded.

Deep claret color with berry-peppery nose. The initial flavors are the berry-pepper blend with a significant earthy component. As the wine opened up, it became more buttery yet retained its peppery component. The berry flavors were more of a background flavor as the wine evolved. Quite pleasant and paired with spicy food well.

Very peppery, even for a Tempranillo. Wasn't sure about it at first, but given a long airing, it is excellent. Not much nose, but what you get is earthy. Finish is extremely long, with pepper at first, then fruit. Airing brings out the complexity.

Needs some air. Tight and acidy right out of the bottle but excellent example of a typical (good) ribiera del duero after a few hours. Balanced.
