Still going strong, very fresh indeed. There is the complex spicyness of the Gewurz, the sweetness is intense but grounded in the wine, fully balanced. A cheese-wine, if I ever saw one.

Amazingly good still; turning (slowly) towards dry, though lots of fullness and sweetnes still here; orange confit, minerals and a firm finish with some sweetness. Great.

This is stil holding up very fine; very good balance, good freshness, very much gewurtz with herbs galore and a creamy, yet light presence. Love it. #Kandestederne #Henrik&Musse

IWFS AGM Dinner (Matsugawa, the Pines Club): I was very, very surprised by the quality of this wine - it was knock-your-socks off stuff. Nose had all the typical Gewurz tones of white musk, lychee cream and spice, along with a fragrant potpourri note and a touch of nectar. Nothing was too sweet, too sticky or too cloying though. Just very attractive. IT was on the palate where this wine really shone though. Just absolutely pitch perfect balance, with perfectly integrated acidity straming through its creamy texture and lovely, lush flavours of lychee and melange of spicse which, moving into the long finish, sharpened into bits of cumin and saffron. Maybe not super-complex, but very yummy, plenty of power, and just superb elegance. This was just drinking beautifully.
