Dinner at The Prawn Star (Duxton Hill): Appearance is clear, pale intensity, lemon colour. Legs. Nose is clean, medium intensity, with aromas of gingery spice, lychees, and floral notes. Amazingly youthful. On the palate, medium sweet, medium acidity, medium alcohol, medium body. Medium+ flavour intensity, with rich flavours of ginger spice, lychees, mango, ripe pear, sweet honeyed cream. Long finish. Very good quality Gewurztraminer. This has survived 14 years well. Enjoy now and over the next 2 years. Don't keep for too long as the balance will be off once the acidity drops.
