I think most of the good quality 2003 Bugundy whites are probably at the peak of their drinking window from now till 2019. In the last year I've had surprises on almost every 2003 Bugundy white I came across and it'sabsolutely wonderful to enjoy them. Opened for 45 mins before serving. Very intense white flower nose accompanied with the solid caramel, cream and bread aftertaste. Extremely smooth palate and I think this would be one of the best folatieres I've had by far. I think this wine should keep for another 10 years but again should drink before 2019 to enjoy the best drinking window.

Bright yellow, slightly gold at the rim. On the nose subtle aromatics of white flowers, crushed stones, lemon cream... slightest bit of honey... definite baking spice from barrique use, some diacetyls... no signs of botrytis. On the palate dry with moderate + acidity, moderate phenolics, moderate + weight and definite creaminess on the palate... moderate to high alcohol. Wine is balanced, length is shortish, intensity is moderate, complexity moderate +. Good finesse, texture is solid, good expression of Puligny. So many 03 white Burgs have been a disappointment to me as I keep expecting to have opulence and richness in exchange for the loss of acid... it just doesn't happen that often for me. A wine that isn't going to get any better IMO... best premier cru from Leflaive I've had from 03, but the wine is good to very good at its best and pales in comparison to other vintages from this estate.

Magnum. Some notable ripeness but decently weighty and fresh. 91-92
