Drank side-by-side with 85' Dujac Bonnes Mares. This was a really fun side-by-side, comparing the whole cluster Dujac to the de-stemmed Mugneret-Gibourg. Beautiful aromatics and elegant fruit on this Echezeaux, but I would give the nod to Dujac between the two. Both wines were excellent, however.

Poor performance tonight. To be fair the label looked like it had been through a war. Sad to see a wine like this go undrunk but there it was - tired, funky.

Acker Merrall Pre-Auction Tasting (Le Cirque - New York NY): Tasting, brief note. Actually tasted twice, once shortly after opened, then again 90 minutes later, seemingly from a second bottle. Both displayed ripe and mature red fruit with background spice. Very good balance and concentration. Second taste seemed slightly richer, fresher and longer, so also more cellarworthy.
