Tasting Dinner Series (4 of 6); Tim does Italy (Tim's House): To close out the evening. A touch spirity, which was welcome at this juncture. Golden colour in the glass. On the nose, marmalade, golden raisins, dried apricots, spice and toasted nuts. On the palate, quite sweet, with some counterbalancing acid. Finishes long, but a touch hot. Oxidative in character.

Super Tasting 4 of 6 (Italian Gems, Hosted by Tim) (Tim's House): Thoroughly enjoyable wine to end the evening with. Nose blasts orange peel, walnuts, apricots, plenty of complexity and in the fully oxidative classic style. Palate is carried nicely on apricots, plenty of residual sugar and notably high alcohol (15%). Chest warming, mouthwatering, delicious. Couldn't ask for more out of this bottle.

Lovely, burnt caramel, golden raisin and a nice long finish. Drinking well right now, not showing too much age.

Super Tasting 4 of 6 - Tim does italy (Waterloo, Ontario): Nose quite oxidative with notes of saline, orange, spice and marmalade. Palate shows peach, orange, quince and saline notes. Finish is long and quite pretty. Nice wine!
