Barbera that thinks it's Burgundy. Great perfume. Roasted strawberries. Some porcini coming thru at this stage. Short and fresh mineral finish. So pure. Could probably hold on another couple years, but why.

Great acidity for a such a big wine. Lots of berries--bing cherry, strawberry, raspberry--and also some metal, and blood (human). A really subtle dose of barnyard on the mid palate. Seems incredibly well structured, feels like it could tolerate some age. As others have said, extraodinary barbera. Is it 10-15 bucks better than the Pio Cesare corporate stuff? Maybe.

I don't think I've had a better Barbera. The nose jumps out with sweet cherries, tar, and roses. A virtual baby Barolo. The fruit on the palate is balanced with acidity and the tannins kick in at the end, leaving a lovely aftertaste. A beauty of a wine to drink on this perfect evening out on the patio.

Quite savory and mineral wine. Earthy. Medium bodied.
