Double aerated. Better than the 2009, but still less than I was expecting. I think my taste buds have gotten away from this winery and like the 2009, I don't think these aged like I was expecting. I still have a PNV of theirs in my cellar.
Nice dark, but very cloudy black-red color. The aroma was nice... rich and oaky. Taste starts out good, they get a little funky and in strangely., hence my comment earlier about how these winds aren't teaching as well as I expected. This is not a flawed bottle, it just didn't age as expected.
I have to say, I'm sort of bumming about the last two Regusci wines I've had. The 2009 and now the 2008. Maybe their wines are just not meant to age like some of the others in Napa? At least this one was under $35, but even at that price, I can only give it a Good QPR.
And if anyone was curious, both my 2008 and 2009, since purchased, have been properly stored in a cooler at 55°.

PNP. Terrific nose of dark fruit, flint, and anise. There is more age (in a good way) on the palate. Raisin, prune and some nice acidity on the palate (with the same items listed for nose). Some tannins on the finish softened out in just 15 minutes. Medium long finish. I believe this guy is reaching its peak, so drink up.

This wine held up rather well during a six hour dinner party against the likes of an 08 Buccella Merlot, 05 Altamura Cab, 08 Clarendon Hills Hickinbotham Syrah and an 07 Viticcio Chianti Classico Riserva. Regusci has never disappointed me.

Past peak, less powerful than other bottles. Still OK but drink up

PNP. Great deep color. Dark fruit and anise on nose. More minerality on the palate. Medium long finish with firm tannins.
