Light colour for age; lovely nose, deceptively youthful, very fresh, ripe lemon and lime, minerally, delightful hint of oak spice; energetic and lively palate with some savoury oak, rich citrus fruit, ripe but fresh acidity and subtle bitters; the hint of caramel on the finish is the only thing that gives and indication of its actual age. Great stuff, extra point for age,

Opened alongside the Clay Shales 2009: very disappointing, fruit has disappeared and replaced by very "dry" overpowering oak with astringent finish. Shame as I have really enjoyed this previously.

Light to medium gold. Nose redolent of oak. On the palate: dry, good acidity, good length, just enough fruit. The best bottles of The Agnes I've had have been superb; this is lacking something, it's a little flat.
