A surprising showing for this wine in both the blind tasting and in the follow-up (2010 Burg Tasting Part 3--see villagewinejournal.blogspot) High-toned enthralling nose followed by an electric palate-entry. Layered red-fruits with a wild strawberry predominance , supple tannins and a fresh cleansing finish. Typically Chambolle made with a light touch. One of the top 2 or 3 wines of the evening . Hard to resist drinking now but this has time to gain complexity and depth. For near term drinking ( now-2017), however, the 2011 version of this wine, outstandingly precise and perfumed, would be my choice.

Very dense, Black currant flavored. Still early. Wait 3-5 years. Very good
