90-91 Initial pnp, allowed to breath 4hrs or so, was a little hot lots of dark fruit. Re-corked and put back in the cellar. 2 days later has mellowed out a lot, black and blue fruits with blueberry playing a major role. Palate matches nose, a little heat but much better than day 1. Decent balance, and nice port, still could use some more time, just starting to evolve. If you open soon I recommend giving this one a good decant, possibly even a 24hr double decant.

Decanted for around 2 hours. Inky purple color. Fruit driven nose of blackberry and blueberry jam and creme de cassis. Very primary dark fruit flavors on the palate without a great deal of complexity at this stage but it has room to grow. Firm, sweet tannins and a long sweet finish with no trace of heat. Tasty and enjoyable (if simple) vintage port.

Lacked the complexity I was expecting, but very easy drinking nonetheless.
