Opened as a replacement for a corked bottle, this showed quite nicely on a pop and pour. Dark red berried fruit with really dark cherry flavor, almost cherry liquor, with some vanilla and a bit of toasty oak and some sweet pipe tobacco. Very nice. Similar flavors on the palate with a smooth mouthfeel and finish. Medium acid and sweet tannins. Not usually a fan of straight PV wines but when done right and with some age on it, these can be quite enjoyable.

Intense and concentrated with the standard Ehler's silkiness. Reminds me of a refined version of the syrup Luxardo cherries come in. Luxardo cherries, ripe sweet blueberries, savory herbs, and an old leather chair - sounds weird but it isn't. Not an everyday wine but a nice change of pace. Very drinkable. Agree with others, I think this needs time to reveal more complexity.

Incredible dark cherry with a long finish. Unusual find to have 100% of this varietal. Interesting and enjoyable. Open for at least an hour before drinking.

Dark cherry, plum, medicine, a little heat and astringency. Lots of potential. I think folks who know the varietal and flavor profiles will be happy. I have had limited exposure to 100% petit Verdot
