Youngish nose of white fruits and white flowers. The palate was white fruit sprinkled with rock candy, with some floral notes in the background. Plenty of acidic lift to keep the wine from becoming cloying, with a medium, clean finish. Decadent.

Golden yellow. The bouquet is a bit reticent at first. There are yellow tropical fruits like pineapple and apricots, tart citrus, flowers, minerals and a touch of petrol. The balance between sweetness and acidity is perfect. Overall a very outspoken and complex wine with beautiful freshness and a long finish. The wine is completely ready and certainly has a few years ahead. Great wine!

(at Bar Boulud – NYC) This wine seemed a bit muted to me. There was good balance and pretty fruit, but seemed a bit in reserve. Didn’t have time to let any sit and observe. So as it was good not great Mosel Auslese. (88)

Creamy peaches, tangy passionfruit, moreish and delightful. No sign of it being urgent to drink these up.
