I really enjoyed this wine; powerful for a Morey-St-Denis. Best to cover your glass and let it decant there for 5-10minutes, it adds a ton of perfume and complexity to the nose. It’s still a few years away from its peak in my view. The palate is a bit shorter and more straightforward than it could be, but there is unrealized potential, and enough structure for at least 3-5 more years I would say. Very good wine.

First look at this. Lovely, quite heady cherry fruit on uncorking. Bright and dense with a density to the fruit on the palate. Opens to both a sweet sense of sous bois on the nose but also a firmer, densely velvety dark fruited structure with fine but noticeable tannin through the finish. Lots of fine sediment too, enough to wipe out the last glass. Stood up nicely to a Beef Wellington. Approachable now but better in five… ***(*)

this seems to have lost a little complexity in the last couple of years - still delicious and very easy drinking - drink soonish?

A bit fresher than the 09, but this too was plush and comforting rather than exciting.

Decant 30 min; ruby; herbs on nose at first, medium bodied more edge than smooth at first, tart cranberry, dark berries, nice savory bramble finish
