Coravin'd a few glasses; nose is outstanding, dark fruit, rich spice. Hits the palate like a mature Cabernet - dry approach, vibrant fruit, white pepper on the front-palate with coffee, dried cherry, brambles on the mid palate, lingering for a 25 second finish. Opens up with time and will try to drink the balance of the bottle from a decanter later this month. Have cellared this since release and just stumbled upon it. Great find, still has at least 2 solid years ahead of it, possibly 4.

PnP, ran through a vinturi, this has a rich nose and palate of blackberry, coffee and maple with hint of spice with all carrying through to the palate which is well balanced. Full bodied and complex, a fine wine that is likely reaching the end of its drinking window.

Deep dark, moderate sediment. Splash decant. Shy nose & needed considerable time to come around, either closed or sleeping deeply. This may take hours to fully awaken.
Full body, no discernible alcohol. Classic Petite Syrah that wants to fully express itself - it just never did. Fruit was back there somewhere, tannins well set, everything proper.
Recommend opening at least 4 hours ahead of drinking.

Lost in the cellar! Hadn't had this since 2006- and a wow wine; deli meat, pepper, licorice, herbs, acacia, blackberries... Great structure- big tannins that seem to be smoothing out but this wine is still drinking young; beautifully balanced and a lovely wine... Will only get better but this is my last bottle...

Back to the days of high scores...? Seems still a bit hot, but otherwise, the wind sings some good high notes. Seems quite ready to appreciate.
