Soirée copains à la maison: C'est incontestablement un beau vin, les tanins un peu poussiéreux à l'ouverture se sont bien fondus, la couleur est encore vive, le nez sur une phase secondaire plaisante, fruits rouges et noirs, garrigue, un peu de tabac. La bouche est suave, le vin est profond, une certaine puissance maîtrisée, on sent que l'élevage prononcé a cadré le tout. Il manque une étincelle pour qu'il décolle vraiment, peut-être dans 10 ans ? 91+

Lots going on here, in a really good place. Maraschino cherry and herb on the nose, touch of olive. Earthy in the mouth, touch of herb, and also sweet dark red fruit. Lots of mineral on the finish. Did not expect so much from this bottle.

Sushi & Pizza on the Penthouse Deck (David's Place, Mpls): Dark red color. PNP, drank a glass over 90 minutes. Same bottle as btock. A mix of dark red and black fruits, black raspberry and cherry, currants, tart fruits, spices, nice texture mid palate with firmer slightly gritty tannins. Probably at peak. 89+ to 90pts.

Caught this one in a good spot. Softer/silky, ready to drink. Paired with coal-fired pizza. The vintage showed well here in terms of the wine's balance and length. Red fruits, currants on the front end and nice soft red fruit and a touch of anise on the finish. A good bottle.

Allowed to breathe for an hour -- perhaps too long as the nose may have dissipated some. Lovely deep red color. Amazingly smooth, quite dry, but with soft tannins. Mouth filling with tastes of dark fruits, especially black cherries. Proof that bottle age really helps a good red wine.
