So yeah. I love verdelho/verdejo as a general rule. Nothing like a great Rueda. And this is nothing like a great Rueda. Very modern (smells like inoculated aromatic yeasts, added acid and cold fermentation), noticeably high ABV on the aroma & palate (nail polish, even, though no VA). Not offensively fruited (green apple, herbs, apricot), but just not delicious and vivacious like I wanted. A good try, but not a re-buy. Maybe the Alentejo is not suited to growing verdelho.

Peach, slight spice over cream and herbs. In the mouth slight peach, clean, waxy textured and mineral notes, slight warm spice on the finish. Pleasant
