  • another great showing.
This cork was completely loose and fell in when trying to extract.
wine not affected. Great hue still, plenty of fruit and fantastic texture.

  • Fill level at about 6 cm.
    Cork in deplorable condition.
Despite sitting upright for weeks, this wine was not well settled.
This was the worst of the three bottles and, still, the wine showed exceptionally well.
Evolved aromatics mostly settled on earthy, spicy, decayed flower notes.
What really stands out is the textural richness of this wine, which could explain the settling issues.
While the wine is extremely well balanced without any excess of alcohol, oak or lack of acid as you often find today, the texture is impressive.
Opened up over several hours; in no hurry to drink.
    Very impressive...

  • Wonderfully complex nose with Minerals, some pepper, secondary red fruit tones, earth, truffle and some lemon zest. Above it the typical 'dust' and weed (typical for CR) notes. Iron, medical (as classic Pauillac) and variety of autumn notes on the palate. The next day more acidity but also chocolate notes.
