First experience w/ this variety, and so for $7 def. worth a flyer on a couple. Deepish but transparent crimson in color. Rusty iron on the nose, with dried red fruit, light funk, earthiness, and subtle floral in support. Medium body, medium+ acid, and shortish/medium- finish, with flavors of red & dried red fruits, iron, red licorice, and various spices. Nice little afternoon sipper that I am not at all mad at, and which worked well with a meatball sandwich.

Surprisingly good with pizza & veggie lasagna. Much better than I remember from my purchase date 2.5 years ago. Had it been open a couple of hours, I might have scored it higher. Great QPR at $7!

Ruby. mellow nose with a hint of fruit and minerals. Very acidic on first open, mellowed a little by second day. Cherry and unripe strawberry notes. Should be drunk with food. Decent QPR for $7.

My second (last) bottle was lightly corked, but the cellophane remedy did the trick! Otherwise pretty consistent w/ last note.
