Tasting great in January '16. Developing secondary flavors - still fruit-led, but while the fruit is fading, there are layers here. Middleweight body, maybe even leaning slightly on the lighter side. Deep violet color, clean sparkle. I bet this has another 2-3 years in it.

Dark garnet in color, this wine reveals cinnamon, black raspberry, tar and Asian spices on the nose. The mouth feel is medium to full bodied with a noticeable stemmy element and smoke. The finish has good lift with the red/black fruits in harmony with the acidity.
Purchased recently for $40US, this is a well made wine that leans towards the bigger style and will easily hold up if paired with red meats. 14.1% abv.

A fruit-forward, but balanced and structured PN. Cherry and raspberry with asian spice and cola, bright rather than earthy/mushroomy. Good aromas, not explosive from glass. Good attack and rounded mid-palate. Finish is a bit clipped, perhaps alcohol and toasty oak come into play there. Felt a bit stronger than 14% ABV after a couple of glasses. Liked it overall, will be interested to try the 2010 in comparison with a warm vintage baseline.
