A wonderful 2010 pinot that is holding up very nicely with a few years of life still in the bottle. When first opened it needed 30 mins to release it's full flavors. Still full of fruit with acid perfectly balanced. Just an enjoyable RR pinot. Happy New Year.

Still tasting great !! At peak !! Perfect cork after over a dozen years in the bottle, easily removed. Consumed over two days. A beautiful dark burgundy color with minor oxidation and good clarity. Aromas of black cherry, raspberries, and pomegranate. Expressive flavors of red berries, currant, and spice that includes a long to medium finish of forest floor. Olivet Lane Vineyard is a heritage property that is one of the oldest existing Pinot Noir vineyards in the Russian River Valley. A former apple, prune and olive orchard on West Olivet Lane. At the recommendation of Dr. Armand Kasimatis at University of California at Davis, the Pellegrini family planted Pinot Noir and Chardonnay, developing one of the first vineyards in the region devoted exclusively to these two varieties. 20 acres of Martini clone Pinot Noir. The wine has aged beautifully and may have years of life remaining if properly cellared. I have only one bottle of this vintage remaining in my cellar.

Sadly past its prime and a little tired. Drink now. Berries that wanted to say something but couldn’t. Muted flavors. Still smooth like the other 2010s MEs that I have had, this one just has lost its shine.

Nose of cherry, vanilla, roses, earth. Nicely balanced with long finish, raspberry, cherry, dar fruits, herbal, tobacco. Thought that the bottle has probably peaked-- need to drink up.
